Insecurities

Insecurities

Insecurities.

We all have them; we all let them take over at times. We also all have confident, powerful moments. I have to admit I have spent much more time sulking and just getting by with my insecurities than I care to admit. It’s safe to say insecurity has held me back from LIVING my life. It’s changed me as a person over time and it’s been a burden for years. I have finally started to work on letting them go, and I’m learning so much more about myself now than I have in the last 30 years of my life. When we take the time to work on our insecurities (not fix them, but accept them) we FINALLY are able to open our eyes to who we really are. WE start to see how awesome we are, all the good we bring to this world and we learn about what we are actually good at.

I’ve finally found the confidence to do things I never thought were possible, like traveling alone. I’ve finally been able to break the chains holding me back and try new things, like practicing yoga alone in my house and learning how to do a headstand. I write in a gratitude journal every day giving myself compliments for the things I love about me, my body that is abled and does so much for me, and the personality traits that make me who I am.. I am slowly becoming comfortable in my own skin, and loving the skin I am in. This is no quick or simple feat but it’s possible. We all have insecurities, but we all have the power to overcome them, it’s really just about HOW we overcome them on our journey to self love. Believe me when I say the sooner you figure it out the sooner you can enjoy your life and discover the real person living inside that beautiful body.

XO
